SSL Secure Shopping

Our secure server software encrypts all your personal information including name, address and credit or debit card numbers. When you reach the payment page on our site you can see a small closed gold padlock appears at the bottom of your browser's window or next to the address bar in browsers such as Internet Explorer 7.

The encryption process takes the characters you enter and converts them into bits of code that are then securely transmitted over the Internet using our Secure 128 Bit encrypted SSL connection.

What is Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)?

At Ginny's Attic - Dolls House and Accessories we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) which is a protocol developed for transmitting private documents and details via the Internet such as credit card numbers. By convention, URLs that require an SSL connection start with https: instead of http: and you will notice that once you enter the checkout phase of your order the URL will change accordingly.

SSL uses a cryptographic system that uses two keys to encrypt data ? a public key known to everyone and a private or secret key known only to the recipient of the message.
